Fifty articles published between 1995 and 2001 in the weekly column `Visheshalprathi’ of Mathrubhumi daily is collected here. Writings are in the pen name ‘Indran’. This political column brings out the contradictions in the proclamations of leaders and their opportunistic approaches.
Political insight and humour are the two strengths of this column. Zakkaria ,noted novelist and intellectual, who wrote introduction to the book described it as ‘ giving insights to the impassionate news events of the age’. `Criticism woven with sarcasm gives new meaning to the contemporary politics’- he added . Drawings and cartoons by two noted artists Madanan and Gopikrishnan adds to the beauty of this book.
The book was released by Mr T.J.S. George, Editor of New Indian Express in the presence noted media personalities like M.P. Veerendrakumar, P.V.Chandran, Dr Sebastian Paul in 2002 at Calicut.
